Ah, flowers. They are a perfect gift for any holiday or a “just because.” They can brighten up a mood, room, and, well, even a baby name

If you love flowers and have a baby on the way, you might be considering naming your little one after one of these beautiful parts of nature. There are many options to choose from, too.

A new study from plant company Patch Plants, looked at the most popular botanical baby names in America based on data from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Oliver, Rowan, Chloe, and Violet are some of the most popular, but there are many more—and some of their meanings are deep.

“Flowers and plants often have multiple symbolic traits which trace back centuries. For example, the botanical meaning of 'iris' carried great weight in ancient times, as the Iris symbolized power, faith, wisdom, and valor,” Nicholas Schulman, Head of Consumer at Patch Plants, tells Parents. “Botany had great influence in ancient times, so it's really interesting to see how these origins are still playing such a big role in baby names today."

Take a look at the top botanical-inspired baby names that parents are loving right now.
